News that you can use

Brethren, if you have not been to Lodge in a while, you have really missed out.  We currently have 5 EAs, 1 FC in process and have raised 1 Brother to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason.  In every case, the Brethren from around the District (and beyond) have been present for all this work, and shown their support of these new Brethren.  With so many waiting to advance, you have ample opportunity to take an active part.

A garage (parking lot) sale is scheduled at the Everett Masonic Center on April 26th.  Other and additional activities are a Pancake Breakfast, Carwash, Hot Dog Sales, and a number of information booths from Snohomish County Health Dept, the Everett CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) and the Masonic Organizations.

First, the sale is co-sponsored with the View Ridge Neighborhood Association (we are located within the boundaries of this neighborhood).  It is a good time to get out to meet and talk to some of the people that look at our center everyday.  Second,  Your donations to the Lodge will be sold to raise money for the Scholarship Fund.  Of course, you are encouraged to attend, but more importantly, we need volunteers for the pancakes, carwash and booth sales.  Please call the Worshipful Master to signup and help the lodge in our fund raisers.

April 28th will be our Family and Friends Night dinner. A Freemasonry 101 presentation will be provided after dinner.  What a wonderful opportunity for you to introduce someone to Masonry….. and you may learns something new as well.  The presentation has been given around the jurisdiction and always results in petitions… but only if you have interested parties with you that evening.  Please call the Worship Master if you are planning on attending and the number of guests you will have with you.

Sunshine – Our New EA, Sam P. is having knee surgery on the 24th. Keep him in you prayers and thoughts as we all wish him a speedy recovery.

What’s new   CHIPs Volunteers needed…. Contact WB Sam if you or family, friends, kids or neighbors can help man the CHIPs booth at the Evergreen State Fare over the labor day period.  Each volunteer, over the age of 18, must have a background check.  The secretary needs name, birthday and birth place.  Please sign up as soon as possible to accommodate the check and insure that you are included for training.

Summer is almost here and Everett Lodge has elected to tackle several repair and maintenance projects in and around the Center. This keeps the temple board from having the work hired out and raising the rents to recover. Volunteer for a EMC/Lodge work party by calling the Worshipful Master.  There’s exterior painting (some ladder work), cleaning in and around the center (inside/outside) and planting. Dates / projects will be announced ASAP and e-mail sent.
